If you are interested in auditioning for the Powder River Symphony please contact one of the orchestra players or the conductor, Steven Trinkle. 

In general we audition players for vacant spots or additions to sections during the first week of rehearsals in September but we audition throughout the year as well. We will arrange to listen to you after a rehearsal or another time that may be more convenient.

You should be prepared to play major scales the entire range of your instrument and play a prepared piece that demonstrates legato and articulated passages.  Usually the first movement of a standard work for your instrument will suffice. There will also be some sight-reading.

Come to the first rehearsal and check us out. If you are new to Northeast Wyoming this is a terrific way to get to know your neighbors and our musical community. Making music together bring joy to one's life.
